Mr. Driver on Paternity Leave |
Mr. Driver is on paternity leave thru February 15th. In his absence, Mr. Dixon will be teaching all band classes daily. Assisting Mr. Dixon will be Ms. Sue Owen, a graduate of Olivet College with a degree in trumpet performance.

5th and 6th Grade Band Concert |
The 5th and 6th Grade Band concert will be held on Thursday evening, February 4th at 7:00 PM in the Pennfield Performing Arts Center. Parents of band students should consult the Zangle site for report times and dress requirements.

Pep Band |
The Pep Band schedule is posted below, and on the Moodle site. Band assignments are also on the Moodle site. Band parents and alumni are invited to participate, as well. We may even be able to loan you an instrument. Come on out, join the fun, and support Panther Basketball!

New Resources |
Check out the new resources listed to the left. Want to tune your instrument at home? Use the online tuner. Want to brush up on your note reading? Try your hand at the note trainer. Fingerings a bit rusty? Need an alternate trill fingering? Find them at the sites listed. More to come!

Practice Cards |
Band students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade have begun recording their practice on their practice cards. Click here to download the card. Students are required to practice 75 minutes per week. Consistent, quality practice is the most important indication of musical success in this age group. Cards are due each Friday. Specific due dates are listed on the printable card. |

The Pennfield Band Boosters meet the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm in the High School band room. All band parents are automatically members of the boosters. The boosters run the concession stand for outdoor sporting events, organize fundraisers for band camp, chaperone band events, and BOOST the band. Please contact Mr. Driver if you want to know how you can help.
