School Delay and Cancellation
Information
If school is not delayed or canceled, but the parent
or legal guardian believes that road conditions are too dangerous for
your child to come to school, the parent or legal guardian my call the
school and excuse your child for the day. The absence will be counted
as an "excused absence" just like any legitimate absence for
sickness.

In the case of a delay or cancellation, the following information applies:
Two (2) Hour Delay:
High School and Middle School
- Starting time for High School is 9:30 and 9:30 for Middle School
- No morning (a. m.) transportation to the
CACC or Math & Science Center. We will provide transportation back
to Pennfield High School for A. M. students.
Dunlap Elementary
- Starting time: 10:10 a.m.
Purdy &
North Pennfield Elementary
- Starting time: 10:25 a.m.
Cancellation:
High School,
Middle School, Dunlap Elementary, Purdy & North
Pennfield Elementary
- No classes at any school
- No transportation to
either the CACC or Math & Science Center
Timely
Notification:
Pennfield Schools will try to
make an announcement concerning cancellations or delays
between 5:30 and 6:00 a.m. Listed below are the radio and
television stations that will carry notifications of
cancellations or delays. Please listen to the radio or watch
the TV stations listed below before calling your child's
school.

We would also like
to remind student drivers that on days when the roads are
slippery that it is a good idea to leave for school a little
earlier and drive carefully. Remember- being in an accident
isn't all it's cracked up to be!
