Return Letter

Dear Parents, Guardians and Students:

Greetings from the Administration: Welcome to Pennfield High School and the start of the 2008-2009 school year. I hope that this school year will be filled with the excitement of learning and that your educational experience will be rewarding. Academic success at Pennfield High School is related to your involvement in the learning process. The best way to get good grades is to actively participate in the classroom, use good study skills, schedule classes carefully with your counselor, and to seek help when you need it. The greater the active role you take in your academic endeavors - with the help of the teaching staff, counselors and administration - the greater your success will be. Our goal is your success! This information/student handbook can be a valuable resource to all who read it because it contains information on student activities, rules, and school policies. The standards set forth in this handbook should be used to help make your school year a success. I ask that you and your parents read this handbook and become familiar with its contents. Finally, I ask that all of you help make this school year an enjoyable experience: Be nice to one more person; complete all assignments on time; say hello to someone you don‘t know; pay someone a compliment; say thanks to someone who did something for you; pick up a piece of litter to keep our halls cleaner; learn something new in class every day; show respect for yourself and others. Please take pride in our high school and through your daily actions, make Pennfield High School a safe and welcome place to work and learn.
Have a Great School Year,

Barry A. Duckham, Principal
