Hello North Penn Families! We would like to start ❤️Hearts Across America ❤️with our 1st Grade classes again this year.
Our 1st grade class will be working on a project for Social Studies, teaching Map skills and learning about our great country by collecting valentines. Our goal is to receive a valentine or postcard from all 50 states and any country we can!! We would love to have you send us a card. It doesn’t have to be store-bought or anything fancy. We would love for you to include a few facts about your state/country as well.❤️ Think landmarks, famous events that happened in your state, anything that makes a 1st grader say WOW!

We are excited to kick off the new year with a fun Reading Challenge for our students! Children are encouraged to read at home in a variety of creative places and ways—using a funny voice, reading to a pet or stuffed animal, under a table, and so much more.

📅 Completed recording sheets are due January 30.

Get ready for a week full of holiday cheer! Our Santa Shop will be open December 8–12, and we can’t wait for students to enjoy the magic of picking out special gifts for the people they love. ❤️
👀 Monday: Classes will stop by for a preview to see what fun treasures are available.
🍎 Teachers: Will bring their classes down to shop on the day they signed up!
🎁 Friday: We’ll wrap up with a last-minute/makeup shopping day for anyone who still needs time.
Every purchase helps support school events like our Glow Dance, Field Day, Teacher Appreciation, and other activities that make North Penn such a special place.

🎃 Halloween Parade Information! 👻
We’re so excited to welcome families to our Halloween Parade on Friday, October 31st at 2:45 PM! Students will walk outside, starting from the new wing near the first-grade classrooms, follow the sidewalk, and loop around to the Kindergarten wing before heading back into the building.
Parents are invited to stand on either side of the sidewalk to cheer on our students as they parade by in their costumes!
Parking:
You may park in the front parking lot by the office or in the back parking lot off the drop-off loop.
Student pick-up after the parade:
If you plan to take your child home after the parade, please pre-sign them out before the event. After the parade, support staff will bring those students to the gym, where parents can wait for their child to be brought to them.
Costume Reminder:
Please avoid any costumes with weapons, fake blood, or anything too scary or unsafe. We want this to be a fun, positive, and safe celebration for everyone!
We can’t wait to see our students’ creativity and smiles during this spooktacular event! 🧡🕸️

We’re excited to share that the T.E.A.M. (Teaching, Educating, and Mentoring) Program has started again this year! This program, led by Officer Schimmel from the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department, helps build positive relationships between students and law enforcement while teaching safety, citizenship, and making good choices. 💙
