March is Reading Month is underway at Dunlap Elementary, and the building is ready to spark a love of reading! This year’s theme, “Reading is Fire,” has the school decorated with a fun dragon theme that brings the excitement of books to life.

March is Reading Month is a special time to encourage students to discover the joy of reading, explore new stories, and build strong literacy skills that will support them throughout their education and beyond.

Thank you to the amazing Dunlap staff for creating such a fun and welcoming environment for our students and for continuing to encourage a lifelong love of reading. Your effort helps make reading exciting and meaningful for our students every day.

Chorale earned a Division I rating, Varsity Gold received a Division II rating, and our 8th Grade Choir earned a Division I rating with a perfect score in sight reading. We are incredibly proud of the hard work, dedication, and talent these students have shown. All of us here at Pennfield Schools are very proud of their accomplishments.

A huge thank you to our Director of Choirs, Steve Bowen, for the time, leadership, and passion he pours into our students every day.

We would also like to thank our high school administration and staff for their support in helping our students travel safely to and from the festival and for everything they do to support our students’ success.

Pennfield High School senior Aiden Babick recently competed in the MHSAA Individual Wrestling State Finals at Ford Field in Detroit, representing our school and community on one of the biggest stages in high school wrestling.

Competing at the state level takes incredible dedication, discipline, and heart, and Aiden’s hard work all season long has truly paid off. We are so proud of the effort he put in to reach this moment and the way he represented Pennfield with pride.

Thank you to our coaches, athletic department, and administration for supporting our student-athletes and helping make opportunities like this possible.

Congratulations, Aiden! The entire Pennfield community is proud of you.

This week, some of our Pennfield High School students had the opportunity to tour Albion College, giving them a chance to explore a college campus and learn more about the many paths available after graduation.

Experiences like this help students think about their futures and discover what opportunities might be the right fit for them. Whether that means college, entering the workforce, serving in the military, or pursuing other career pathways, opportunities like this allow students to explore what their next steps could look like.

A big thank you to the Pennfield High School administration and staff for helping make opportunities like this possible and for continuing to support our students as they explore their futures.

At Pennfield Schools, we are proud to help our students prepare for success in whatever path they choose.
